Akkodis is seeking a Mailroom Associate for a Contract job with a client in Beaverton, OR. Responsibilities include fanning and quality checking mail pieces to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and assisting with hand insertion tasks as needed.

Rate Range: $15/hour to $18/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mailroom Associate job responsibilities include:

• Stapling packets, stuffing envelopes, and organizing items according to established standard operating procedures.

• Performing quality checks on production mail pieces to ensure compliance with USPS regulations and company standards.

• Applying postage to mail pieces using a postage meter and verifying accuracy before and after processing.

• Setting up and adjusting mailing machinery during operations to maintain consistent quality and quantity counts.

• Assisting the Insert/Sorter operator at the end of mail machines and performing line breakdown and tray preparation for USPS entry.

• Maintaining accurate records of mail processing, including tracking and reporting any discrepancies or issues.

• Lifting and moving mail and packages weighing up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods throughout the shift.

• Working closely with team members to manage high-volume workloads and ensure timely processing and delivery of mail.

• Following established safety and operational guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a mailroom or similar fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately perform quality checks on mail pieces.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods, demonstrating physical capability for a demanding role.

Pay Details: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour
