As the RCC Social Service Assistant working awake overnight shifts, you will conduct 15-minute sign of life checks on clients, complete necessary documentation and filing, and complete some light janitorial work. You will maintain consistency and safety among clients, observe and record behavior patterns, aid in service planning for clients, and document necessary behaviors. You will complete crisis intervention and de-escalate clients, as needed, utilizing the crisis intervention techniques learned during training. We are currently seeking staff for the awake overnight shifts, 10:00 pm - 8:00 am, days to be determined but will include at least one weekend day if not both.

RCC, or the Regional Crisis Center, is a subacute residential facility where youth are placed directly from the Department of Human Services. RCC provides residential living facilities, mental health treatment, family counseling, substance use disorders treatment, and academic instruction to clients. RCC clients are often combative and have multiple mental or behavioral challenges. RCC uses verbal de-escalation tactics as well as treatments such as seclusion rooms and full-body restraints when necessary to ensure the safety of our clients.

Eligible for a QMHA certification is preferred. You must have prior experience working with combative at-risk youth, preferably in a residential setting. The ability to maintain strong professional boundaries and confidentiality is a must. You must also be able to pass crisis intervention training within your first month of employment.
