The Membership Growth Consultant (MGC) is an outside healthcare sales representative responsible for generating sales leads and memberships by building relationships with senior citizens, community partners, and senior-focused businesses to enroll new patients to ChenMed. The role involves organizing sales events, developing engaging and cost-effective techniques to maintain high senior participation and satisfaction, and effectively communicating the ChenMed/JenCare value proposition at community events.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Nurture and develop partnerships with seniors and business-to-business contacts to generate new patient opportunities throughout the year.
  2. Meet with seniors and groups in various settings to promote the ChenMed value proposition.
  3. Plan and execute community events such as health fairs and informational sessions targeting underserved Medicare-eligible seniors aged 55 and older.
  4. Build relationships with health plan and insurance agents, social workers, senior housing managers, and community providers to position ChenMed/JenCare as their preferred healthcare provider for seniors.
  5. Collaborate with community officials and businesses to develop initiatives that promote new patient growth.
  6. Arrange sales meetings and referral relationships with plan agents and brokers, managing vendors and contracts for events.
  7. Invite insurance agents and brokers to community events to facilitate patient referrals.
  8. Utilize marketing and sales tools, including Salesforce CRM, to identify solutions, manage leads, and document interactions.
  9. Create monthly activity plans and develop penetration strategies in target markets.
  10. Re-engage dormant customers through sales campaigns and marketing efforts.
  11. Educate potential patients about our healthcare model and deliver presentations to large audiences.
  12. Develop distribution channels to support enrollment growth, ensuring efficient data collection and management.
  13. Partner with sales leadership to enhance engagement strategies with distributors, vendors, and community partners.
  14. Build and maintain trusting relationships with brokers, insurance agents, and third-party vendors.
  15. Engage with new patients beyond their initial appointment and maintain ongoing relationships to support retention, addressing any issues as needed.
  16. Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong business acumen and organizational skills
  • Expertise in negotiation, probing, closing, and objection handling
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Warm, patient demeanor suitable for the target market
  • Fluency in English; bilingual skills are a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of successful sales experience, preferably with seniors or Medicare Advantage
  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or management experience
  • Relevant experience with establishing and maintaining vendor and partner relationships
  • Valid driver's license required
