About the Role:

The Client Solutions Manager (CSM) is responsible for credit/risk monitoring, credit review workflow management, and engagement with underwriting, QA, and QC partners. The role involves identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional solutions that benefit the client and increase product penetration, collaborating with partners for a holistic approach, and assisting Commercial Bankers with portfolio management and client engagement to grow business relationships. The CSM is a key secondary contact between the bank and clients, focusing on identifying additional income opportunities, driving revenue growth, and maintaining complete banking relationships. The position reports to the Market Manager.

  • Utilize financial and market information to identify client needs and recommend solutions, including loan structuring and credit analysis.
  • Partner with Commercial Bankers to expand relationships, attend client meetings, and ensure the client is approved for all relevant products and services.
  • Spend approximately 30% of time on direct relationship expansion activities, achieving individual growth goals for loans, deposits, and fees.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client needs through reviews and data analysis, managing credit requests and portfolio reviews.
  • Monitor and manage the commercial loan portfolio, ensuring proper risk rating and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to all bank policies, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Possibly coach or train others and promote Umpqua's culture and values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business (required)
  • 4-7 years of relevant banking or portfolio management experience (required)
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting, credit monitoring, and portfolio management
  • Excellent relationship management, analytical, sales, and credit skills
  • Deep understanding of credit policies, risk assessment, and cross-selling bank solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with executive-level clients
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

Location: 111 West 7th Avenue, Eugene OR 97401 (onsite required)

Travel: Occasional
