As the Relief Counselor, you will assist with the coordination of service plans for each client, including integrating support team members, key agencies, and youth participants. Responsibilities include providing crisis intervention, maintaining a positive milieu, creating behavior management plans, and case coordination for youth and families accessing services. Lived experience or professional experience with homeless and runaway youth is preferred but not required. Those passionate about helping others are encouraged to apply.
The Station 7 program is an emergency shelter for runaway or homeless youth, ages 11-20. It provides temporary crisis care, life skills development, goal-setting, and creating stable future plans. The program also operates Project Safe Place and a 24-hour crisis hotline.
Candidates who thrive in this program are passionate about helping others, can relate to clients while maintaining professional boundaries, and uphold program rules. This is an on-call/relief position with minimum requirements of at least 4 shifts per month and participation in at least 1 staff meeting per month.
