The City of Springfield has an opening in our Development & Public Works Department in the Current Development Division for a Code Compliance Officer. This position performs the day-to-day operations for code compliance tasks relating to the building, development, environmental services, and nuisance codes such as interpreting, applying, and enforcing State and local laws, codes, and ordinances. The Code Compliance Officer conducts activities in support of proactive compliance, community engagement including educating the public about codes and ordinances and promoting voluntary compliance.
