CV Resources is partnering with a well-respected client in Eugene, OR to identify a skilled Accounting Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who brings both leadership capabilities and hands-on accounting expertise. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, strengthening credit and collections processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This position combines operational oversight with strategic input and requires someone who is comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with detailed, hands-on accounting work. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily financial operations to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing Supervise and mentor the Finance Support Specialist, providing guidance and regular performance feedback Maintain and refine the organization's credit policy, including: Reviewing and approving new customer credit applications Establishing appropriate credit terms Managing delinquent accounts and leading collection efforts Monitor the Accounts Receivable aging report and collaborate with Sales to improve collection efforts and reduce outstanding balances Identify and flag high-risk customer accounts; coordinate with leadership on credit hold decisions Prepare and present regular reporting packages, including: AR aging analysis Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics Write-off tracking and collection efficiency Oversee cash management activities such as incoming payments, reconciliations, and intercompany transfers Administer and enforce travel and expense policies; review and audit expense reports and corporate credit card usage Support month-end and year-end close processes by reviewing GL activity and ensuring proper journal entry postings Assist with accounts payable processes, including reviewing payments and managing disbursements in both domestic and international currencies Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership to support data-driven decision-making Continuously seek ways to enhance internal controls, streamline financial workflows, and implement process improvements Take on additional accounting-related projects and duties as needed Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA or CPA track preferred) At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an accounting team Solid understanding of GAAP and sound internal control principles Proven experience in credit analysis and collections Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP) Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external clients Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently PandoLogic.Keywords:Chief Accountant, Location:Eugene,OR-97440, PL:600193232
