Position Purpose

Under the supervision of the Manager of Imaging, the incumbent produces diagnostic MRI scans, assists the radiologist and referring physicians in MRI procedures, and ensures patient care while representing Renown Health.

Nature and Scope

The major challenges include understanding and applying the technical skills and physics required to operate the MRI scanner efficiently and accurately. The incumbent must provide age-appropriate care for patients from infants to geriatrics, meet quality standards, and perform other duties as needed, including after-hours standby and callback. The position requires proficiency with various MRI equipment and related computer systems, maintaining accuracy, effective communication, and professionalism under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Completion of an AMA-approved two-year Radiology program with an AS degree; BS RT preferred.

Experience: Minimum two years of MRI experience; recent radiologic specialty experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications: ARRT registration; MRI certification preferred; BLS certification within 60 days of employment.

Computer Skills: Ability to complete online training and access digital resources within 90 days.
