Go-To-Market Strategist

San Mateo, CA / Hybrid This role is hybrid, with an expectation to come into the office 12 times per month

Role overview

As an Independent Partners Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategist at PlayStation, you will be a key player in shaping the strategies that bring our partners games to life across the PlayStation ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, partner relations, and cross-functional execution, evangelizing the value of PlayStation GTM capabilities externally and acting as a subject matter expert on key titles to cross-functional teams internally.

Reporting to the Independent Partners Account Management Team Lead, this role will be vital to the success of independent partners games at PlayStation and maximize their reach to the right PlayStation players.

Responsibilities
  • Advise and influence partners on their GTM strategies for key titles, providing education and resources, while ensuring alignment with both PlayStation and partner goals.
  • Serve as the primary lead in developing and sharing educational materials for Independent Partners about PlayStation GTM capabilities and best practices to ensure commercial success on PlayStation. Deliver professional presentations in front of key leaders and executives throughout the organization.
  • Provide guidance and be a potential first point of partner contact to support the discoverability of Independent Partner content on PlayStation via self-service tools and other platform specific capabilities.)
  • Oversight of partnership engagement to ensure effective deal execution in collaboration with global marketing team, defining and securing SIE marketing commitments, and consolidating go-to market reporting ATL campaigns, Retail Marketing, PlayStation Store, BTL.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to stay current on PlayStation GTM opportunities (Global Marketing, Store, Portfolio teams, etc.)
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on product roadmaps for key titles and keep internal stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Work as a collaborative team member within the Partner Commerce Team in establishing and executing Partner plans; understanding market dynamics, shifting consumer demands, and helping adjust title level plans to meet future market needs.
  • Provide holistic and actionable reporting on key GTM executions to shape future strategies.
  • Participate in and support Monthly/Weekly team meetings, partner check-ins, and possible business performance reviews.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, account management, partner marketing, or product marketing, ideally within gaming, entertainment, or tech industries.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer in the digital and gaming ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to build and execute go to market plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience influencing both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while executing tactically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with international and/or multi-regional teams.
  • Passion for indie games is a plus!

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each roles base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range is:

$115,300 - $172,900 USD
