Job Details

Experienced Analytical Scientist required, based in Cheshire for a 6-month contract. Degree in Chemistry or similar essential, with recent, proven industrial experience in analysis using a range of techniques including HPLC, NMR, GC, and/or wet chemistry analysis. Knowledge and experience of method development is also desirable but not essential.

Company Overview:

SRG is working with a global business that has developed an innovative chemical process with applications across coatings, construction materials, automotive industry, and other sectors. They are seeking an Analytical Scientist to join their team in Cheshire to provide analytical support and expertise to the development team.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Conduct analytical testing to support development work using techniques such as wet chemistry, NMR, HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and others.


2. Support the development team by offering analytical expertise and assistance.


3. Provide clear, accurate reports with well-documented and traceable data.


4. Assist in validating and documenting analytical methods and methodologies.


5. Potentially support the development of analytical methods to support quality processes.

Requirements:

1. BSc degree in Chemistry or similar.


2. Recent, proven industrial experience in analysis with techniques including wet chemistry, HPLC, NMR, GC, etc. (experience from chemicals, FMCG, contract testing, environmental sectors is acceptable).


3. Experience in analytical method development or investigational analysis is desirable but not essential.


4. Proactive approach with good communication and teamwork skills.
