Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Material Handlers for projects located in and around Springfield, OR. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of up to $23/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope:

• Receive deliveries of raw materials such as wood, metal tubing, and vinyl from vendors
• Check materials for damage or defects and confirm quantities against purchase orders to ensure accuracy
• Use forklifts or other equipment to move products to designated storage areas, organizing them properly on racks, shelves, or in the yard
• Update and manage inventory through computer systems or physical cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels
• Read and follow work orders or requests to retrieve correct materials from stock for customer orders or fence crews
• Secure and package materials to prevent damage during transit, using padding, bracing, or strapping as needed.
• Load materials and orders onto delivery trucks or customer vehicles, ensuring accuracy and proper weight distribution.
• Complete all necessary shipping paperwork and documentation for customers and internal records
• Keep the warehouse, yard, and workstations clean and organized by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
• Continuously monitor for and report potential safety hazards, such as spills, poorly stacked materials, or equipment malfunctions
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers to maintain smooth operations and efficient workflows.
• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to move heavy items
• Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, fueling, or recharging batteries
• Operate hand and power tools—such as saws and drills—for cutting materials to specific lengths or repairing equipment
• Other tasks as assigned
