• Lane Education Service District provides a wide array of services to the 16 School Districts in Lane County serving about 45,000 students. Services in special education, school improvement, technology, and administrative services are designed to support districts in meeting the challenge of serving a diverse student population. We focus on systemic school improvement, multicultural curriculum, and assisting districts in development of students who are well prepared to be global citizens. About Lane ESD's Hope Factory Program
The factory will produce high-quality, affordable, energy-efficient, and fire-resilient manufactured homes intended to support recovery in Oregon, where home losses due to wildfires. The HOPE Factory will provide a learning space for students to train and the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals to learn valuable technical and professional skills. Students will work alongside craft professionals in a handful of trades, including welding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and school staff is required
• The ability to follow teacher direction, including written instructional and behavior plans is required
• Experience working in a public school or community setting with students with moderate disabilities, including use of alternative means of communication is preferred
• First/Aid/CPR card is preferred
• One to 2 years successful experience in manufacturing or construction trades environment or CTE program preferred

Salary

• $19.49/hour
