Performs preventative maintenance inspections and service on machines. Assists moving furniture, equipment, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Detects, reports and repairs improper machine operation and faulty equipment. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Operates standard maintenance tools in accordance with departmental and safety policies and procedures. Reads and understands general concepts of mechanical and electrical schematics. Effectively utilizes the CMMS to complete assigned duties and tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Preventative Maintenance tracking systems (CMMS). Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Knowledge of HVAC and refrigerant systems. Ability to properly utilize a variety hand and power tools. Understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics. Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and cultivate relationships with others. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Preferred experience with fabrication and welding, highly desired. Knowledge of programmable controllers and associated software, a plus. Supports troubleshooting related to systems Certified in LOTO program. Supports and maintains Food Safety and Quality programs. Follows and performs emergency procedures regarding power failures.
