Position Overview

Shipping Associate at L.A.B. Golf.

Compensation

Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr.

Responsibilities

• Interpret packing slips and invoices to match inventory when packaging items to be shipped.
• Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
• Label packages correctly and ensure they are ready for dispatch.
• Use in‑house software systems to process and ship orders internationally and within the states.
• Inspect products for damage, defects, or missing items before and during the fulfillment process.
• Ensure that all products meet quality standards before they are shipped.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Participate in safety training sessions and stay updated on safety best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, order fulfillment, and shipping details.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues to the supervisor.
• Suggest and implement improvements to shipping processes to enhance efficiency.
• Stay updated with best practices and new technologies in shipping operations.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Basic mathematical calculations, use of computer systems for inventory management and order processing, and use of spreadsheets in Excel.
• Prior experience working in a shipping, warehouse or fulfillment environment and familiarity with basic warehouse operations and equipment is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of shipping methods and carriers and their procedures.
• Ability to read shipping orders and labels and use the computer systems and software in place to input orders and track inventory.

• Reaching overhead and below shoulder height.
• Pushing and pulling carts or pallet jacks loaded with products.
• Climbing ladders or stairs to access higher storage areas.
• Manual dexterity for handling small items and using tools with precision.
• Perform repetitive tasks such as picking.
• Good vision to read labels, check product quality and use computer systems.
• Hearing ability to hear alarms, signals, and instructions in a noisy environment.
• Physical stamina to sustain effort throughout a shift, including periods of high activity.
