Job Description

The Temporary Custodian is responsible for maintaining assigned work areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition to support daily warehouse and manufacturing operations.
Shift: 2nd Shift
Location: Building 875
Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including floors, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers
  • Restock paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
  • Clean and disinfect lunchroom tables, chairs, and floors
  • Empty trash and waste containers regularly
  • Sweep, mop, and buff floors
  • Clean machines, equipment, and surrounding areas
  • Break down and recycle or dispose of pallets, boxes, and large items
  • Keep entrances and exits clean and free of debris
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
  • Maintain tools and equipment in clean working condition
  • Work full-time and overtime as needed, including weekends
  • Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1 year of custodial, building maintenance, or general labor experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment (floor scrubber, utility knife, etc.)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work at floor level and above head level
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or platforms

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Required PPE: safety glasses, dust mask, nitrile gloves, and cut-resistant gloves
