As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will audit production processes, inspect finished goods, and support food safety programs, ensuring that all products meet both internal and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Auditing production Quality Control (QC) inspections and data.
- Reviewing product start-ups and signing off on first articles of production.
- Verifying accuracy and completeness of production QC paperwork.
- Performing in-line product inspections throughout production runs.
- Conducting QC checks including granulation, moisture, weights, fruit counts, oxygen/nitrogen levels, bag and carton seal integrity, and date/label codes.
- Performing regular audits on weights, labels, date codes, glass, and brittle plastics.
- Conducting fruit counts on harder ingredients.
- Performing sanitation inspections.
- Conducting ATP and environmental swabbing.
- Inspecting finished goods prior to release.
- Supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality programs.
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Prior QA/QC experience in a food production environment (preferred).
- One or more years of laboratory, inspection, or related quality experience.
- Previous food production experience and familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Working knowledge of food safety principles.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
