Job Title: Steel Recycling Metal Sorter & Yard Worker
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic industry? Join a local steel recycling company that specializes in collecting, processing, recycling, trading, and brokering ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal as a Steel Recycling Metal Sorter & Yard Worker in Eugene, OR, and make an impact every day. As a Steel Recycling Metal Sorter & Yard Worker, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient operations. You'll work closely with your team to ensure the yard runs smoothly and effectively, contributing to a sustainable future through recycling.
What You'll Do:
As a Steel Recycling Metal Sorter & Yard Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Cleaning and sorting ferrous and nonferrous metals to ensure proper recycling processes.
- Engaging in hands-on sorting and organization of materials within the scrap metal yard.
- Performing groundwork and cleanup tasks to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
- Adapting to outdoor conditions, working effectively in various weather elements.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
- A keen attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
