Arclin USA is seeking a Maintenance Millwright for our Springfield, OR location. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for maintaining all manufacturing and R&T machinery and equipment within the Springfield plant site while complying with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and Arclin's policies and procedures to contribute positively to an efficient and safely run operation.

Maintenance Millwright Responsibilities:

  • Participate in maintenance department activities to prepare for and service all machinery and equipment, minimizing downtime and unexpected break downs
  • Execute preventive and predictive work orders for the facility's maintenance schedule
  • Support activities that includes outside resources such as contractors and specialized equipment (i.e., crane, man-lift, etc.)
  • Proactively recognize equipment issues and initiate work requests
  • Respond on-call via radio or after-hours telephone to meet the needs of Manufacturing/Production for critical downtime activities
  • Participate as required in meetings such as process hazard analysis (PHA), management of change (MOC), incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), Joint Health Safety Committee (JHSC).
  • Responsible for full participation in behavioral safety for a zero incident, zero exposure, work culture, including use of “Stop Work” authority, reporting safety observations, and collective participation in corrective actions.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment to company and OEM equipment standards to facilitate PSM (Process Safety Management) compliance.


Maintenance Millwright Qualifications:

Required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (minimum)
  • Trade School and/or Certified Journeyman trade (Desired)
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and fix mechanical problems
  • Ability to execute on preventive maintenance activities, allocating time and resources effectively to minimize downtime and overtime
  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and in a team environment of maintenance workers
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment repair (pumps, valves, agitators, gearboxes, heat exchangers, motors, instrumentation, general electricity, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in systems including; cooling towers, boiler systems, air compressors, bag-houses, conveyors
  • LOTO, Thorough understanding of Lock-out, Tag-out, Try-out, for maintenance activities
  • Proper use and maintenance of PPE as per plant PPE matrix
  • Ability to work from blue prints, weld, cut, and exposure to other pipe fitting and fabrication materials
  • Navigate Stairs & Ladders; lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work with respiratory protection, full face and/or PAPR
  • Able to work in confined spaces and fall protection situations
  • Thorough understanding of equipment reliability and best practices
  • Experience with Predictive/Preventative maintenance policies and procedures
  • Verification of work experience
Desired
  • Post-secondary education as a licensed industrial tradesperson in mechanical, welding, or electrical discipline.
  • 3+ years working as a licensed tradesperson in an industrial/plant setting. Exposure to the chemical processing industry preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in forklift and other plant vehicle use and repair, including JLG, scissor lift, (other certifications a plus, i.e., boom lift)
  • Experience in working with process automation controls such as DeltaV, actuated valves, VFD's and PLC's
  • Welding certification AWS 6G, CS, SS, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and fabrication methods
  • HVAC systems maintenance and repair
  • Backflow Preventers maintenance and repair
Experience
  • 3+ years, minimum
  • 10+ (Desired)
