Wiring Technician

Job Mission

The Wiring Technician is responsible for timely and accurate wiring of products and components according to established specifications, drawings, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean finished product and parts to prepare them for shipment according to the production schedule to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Assemble electrical components and modules following CAD drawings, schematics, and reference photos.
  • Perform soldering and de-soldering of electrical components.
  • Train and utilize various tools and equipment to clean, prepare, and pack lifts and components.
  • Communicate with the supervisor regarding incomplete assemblies, rework needs, or any issues that may impact on-time delivery.
  • Use computer and manufacturing software to issue materials, report completed work orders, and view upcoming shipments.
  • Work as a team member to produce products in accordance with manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
  • Move and handle materials as required.
  • Perform routine facility cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, wiping down equipment, and participating in a rotating schedule for cleaning bathrooms and break areas.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by lead, supervisor, or production management.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles and wire color coding.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, soldering irons, crimpers, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Experience and Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in electrical technology or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical wiring, assembly, or a related manufacturing environment.
Key Interfaces
  • Reports to: Wiring Lead
  • Works closely with other Wiring Technicians
  • Interacts with Assembly Supervisor and Production Manager
  • No direct reports
Travel
  • No regular travel required
