Job Title: Office Clerk
Pay: $20.00/hour
Hours: Monday - Friday
Wednesday 8:30AM - 2PM
Average 30 - 35 hours a week
Start Date: ASAP

Join a reputable local company specializing in processing and delivering high-end protein products as an Office Clerk in Eugene, OR. This is a fantastic temp-to-hire opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment and advance your career in the food distribution industry.

As an Office Clerk, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and smooth daily operations. You'll work closely with the warehouse and finance teams to support routing, billing, and reconciliation processes, contributing directly to the company's success.

What You'll Do:

  • Route Processing - balance routes daily from the prior day - entering information into the yellow book, balancing checks, cash and balance to zero
  • Start on current day's routes to yellow book
  • Assist with product returns by collaborating with the Warehouse Operations Manager.
  • Rotate old pinks to recycle
  • Keep in date order old route sheets
  • Shred old checks monthly
  • Recycle old remittances, as needed
  • Help with DocRecords committing and scanning
  • Assist AP on checking pricing, sorting and sending invoices, entering invoices into Canopy - other duties to be assigned when needed, not to include AP vendor related duties
  • Assist front office in getting daily routes invoiced and out for delivery
  • A/R Duties - Limited to route processing, transferring invoices. All other duties will be performed by the Accounting Specialist and/or Accounting Mgr
  • Maintain Complaint log
  • Secondary/back up - Answer phones, CC/ACH- Limited to processing of weekly payments only - not customer maintenance, AP Processing
  • Other Duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially in data entry and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of 10-Key typing for efficient transaction processing.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
