This client designs and manufactures high-temperature vacuum furnaces and VPA coating systems supporting aerospace, energy, additive manufacturing, and precision manufacturing industries. As part of a larger global entity they deliver mission-critical heat-treating solutions built on advanced technology, engineering excellence, and reliability.
They are building out the field team and are in search of a road warrior who has the below experience:
Technical degree desirable but not required
(Military technical schools, A-Schools, C-Schools, MOS training, or equivalent experience are strongly valued)
Strong mechanical aptitude and welding experience
(Experience maintaining vehicles, aircraft, shipboard systems, power plants, or industrial equipment applies)
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with:
Electrical systems
Mechanical systems
Combustion systems
Piping and fluid systems
(Comparable to military maintenance, engineering, or equipment repair roles)
Familiarity with complex systems such as:
High-temperature equipment
Vacuum systems
Pumps
PLCs or automated control systems
(Military experience with automated systems, controls, or diagnostics is relevant)
Knowledge of standards such as AMS 2750, CQI-9, or NFPA 86 is beneficial
(Experience following military technical orders, SOPs, safety regulations, and quality standards is transferable)
Working knowledge of industrial electrical control systems
(Experience with power distribution, control panels, or instrumentation applies)
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the off-loading, placement, and assembly of heat-treat equipment
(Similar to supervising equipment installation, deployment setup, or shipboard/field system integration)
Perform system checkout of mechanical, electrical, and piping subsystems to ensure safe and proper operation
(Comparable to military system inspections, operational checks, and preventive maintenance)
Verify systems operate per engineering drawings, technical manuals, specifications, and safety requirements
(Directly aligns with military technical manuals, schematics, and compliance procedures)
Provide direction to resolve on-site customer or contractor issues
(Comparable to NCO/PO leadership, task supervision, and field problem-solving)
Document installation, startup issues, and field modifications
(Military experience with maintenance logs, discrepancy reports, and after-action documentation applies)
Assist customer personnel with initial system operation and testing
(Similar to training operators, turnover briefings, or operational handovers)
Train customer personnel on safe operation and maintenance
(Military instructors, trainers, and experienced technicians excel in this area)
Provide regular progress reports, checklists, and task updates
(Comparable to mission reports, maintenance status updates, and leadership briefings)
Collect and submit final system parameters and commissioning data
