Position Details:

  • Hourly Base Rate: $24.49 - $34.27
  • Shift Hours Per Week: 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts

Job Summary:
  • The Lead Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist is a professional clinician who specializes and assists patients in guided education, risk factor reduction and exercise of Phases I, II, and PAD Rehabilitation.
  • They assume responsibility and accountability for patients during clinic sessions and performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • The lead provides guidance and leadership to staff and helps to make decisions regarding department operations.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • 3 years previous experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation preferred.
  • EKG/rhythm interpretation training required.
  • Proficient in telemetry interpretation skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication/writing skills. Physical and emotional stamina. Highly personable, and outgoing. Must feel comfortable with speaking to large and small groups. Competent in computerized documentation. Knowledge in cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology preferred. Critical thinking and assessment skills, Basic Computer skills, Ability to learn and adapt quickly, Ability to multitask, team player, Able to speak to large and small groups comfortably, Ability to motivate and educate people in the area of Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Self starter and directed with department oriented tasks and goals, Highly personable, Social and outgoing.
Education/Licensing:
  • M.S. in accredited Exercise Physiology program.
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Current BLS, ACLS certification or obtain within 90 days of Employment.
