Director Of Prospect Engagement

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee prospect research, development, and data analysis to guide our fundraising strategies and foundation leadership.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of prospects to identify and qualify potential philanthropic opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the Prospect Development team while establishing departmental objectives.
  • Assign prospects to portfolios and manage their journey through the moves management process.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies for identifying new donor prospects.
  • Collaborate on strategies to cultivate relationships with principal gift-level prospects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in prospect research and development, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience in higher education preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • In-depth expertise in prospect research and development, with a strong grasp of best practices and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud or similar software; experience in wealth screening and prospect development tools is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative team environment.
  • A strong understanding of moves management and donor behavior.
