Director, Strategic Sales & Market Development (Remote)

An innovative technology company is seeking a Director of Strategic Sales & Market Development to drive revenue growth, expand market adoption, and develop strategic partnerships across aerospace, defense, government, and emerging technology sectors. This highly visible leadership role owns the full sales lifecycle-from opportunity identification and capture strategy through contract execution and revenue realization-and will play a key role in shaping the company's long-term growth strategy.

The ideal candidate is a military veteran with a proven track record of selling complex technology solutions into government, defense, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing markets. This individual will leverage existing relationships with government agencies, prime contractors, and industry stakeholders to develop new business opportunities, navigate federal procurement processes, and secure strategic contracts. Experience with capture management, proposal development, government funding mechanisms, and long-cycle enterprise sales is highly desired.

In addition to driving sales, this leader will identify new market opportunities, establish channel partnerships, and collaborate closely with executive leadership, engineering, operations, and marketing teams to align commercial strategy with customer and market needs. The position requires strong executive presence, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation includes a base salary of $150,000-$175,000 plus commission and equity, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, be comfortable with frequent travel, and possess the ability to accelerate growth within highly technical and rapidly evolving markets.
