About the Role

Behind every cat we rescue, every foster placement we make, and every adoption we celebrate is a team of dedicated people keeping the details accurate, organized, and up to date. Our Administrative Support Volunteers are the quiet engine that keeps our rescue running — and their work is every bit as lifesaving as the hands-on care our cats receive. Without accurate records, timely data, and well-maintained systems, we simply cannot operate at the level our animals deserve. This is a fully remote position, making it an ideal opportunity for detail-oriented individuals who want to make a real difference for cats in the Eugene community without leaving home.

We are building a small team of up to five Administrative Support Volunteers, each of whom may focus on different areas of need depending on their skills and availability. Whether you have a background in office administration, data management, research, or writing — or simply have strong organizational instincts and a willingness to learn — we want to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities

Shelterluv Data Entry and Management. Our rescue runs on Shelterluv, a cloud-based animal shelter management platform that serves as the central record for every cat and kitten in our care. Shelterluv tracks animals through various statuses — available for adoption, in foster, medical hold, behavioral hold, awaiting transfer, and adopted — and manages digital intake, adoption, and foster agreements, microchip numbers, and outcome recording. Accurate, timely input into Shelterluv is critical to our operations. Volunteers in this role will enter and update animal profiles, intake and outcome records, medical notes, foster assignments, and other data as directed. Attention to detail is essential — volunteers must be aware of autofill errors, check for duplicate records, and ensure photos marked for publishing meet quality standards. Training on Shelterluv will be provided; prior experience with the platform is a plus but not required.
