This position will hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate up to 80 temporary part-time and student employees in order to meet customer service demands and ensure successful staffing of events. This position will also train, schedule, and supervise 40 non‑profit volunteer groups (up to 50 per group) to staff concession stands during all University of Oregon home contests and outside events.This work requires the Concessions Event Manager to be available outside of “normal business hours” on nights and weekends to perform responsibilities.The Concessions Event Manager is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.QualificationsTwo years of supervision experience in a food service operation.Possession of OLCC service permit or ability to acquire one within 30 days.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, customers, vendors, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.Expertise in inventory count and control.Expertise with cash management.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree.Three or more years of successful work experience as a collegiate or professional sports concession manager.FLSA Exempt: YesAll offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check.The University of Oregon is proud to offer a robust benefits package to eligible employees, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
