Job Summary Veterinary Technician: Busy, holistic veterinary clinic looking for a person who loves working with both people and pets. We are hiring an experienced, hard-working, organized, mature person who is seeking a long-term position. This person MUST HAVE VETERINARY EXPERIENCE and an interest in holistic modalities. Blood draws, catheter placement and anesthetic monitoring skills required. Duties Assist veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations or treatments. Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostics to support accurate diagnoses. Support dental surgeries while running anesthesia using Vet Trends, doppler, capnography, pulse ox, etc. Maintain detailed medical records, update treatment plans, and communicate effectively with pet owners about care instructions, both in-person and over the phone. Qualifications Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care procedures. Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis to support diagnostic efforts. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques with dogs and cats to ensure safe examinations and procedures. Ability to perform animal catheterization accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to educate pet owners on pet care routines like pet grooming or medication administration.
