Monitors and controls expenditures. Works with designer in recruiting and guiding students and volunteers working on scenery lighting and sound throughout the production process. Draws working plans from the designer's plans and sketches. Constructs, assembles, rigs, shifts, maintains and repairs scenery. Implements lighting and sound designs. Rents, purchases, obtains quotes, prepares purchase orders and arranges for shipping, pick up and delivery of goods and products to be used. Establishes, in consultation with the designer and director, schedules for activities and performs work to meet deadlines. Participates in production meetings. Maintains the safe, orderly and clean condition of the shop and other work areas on a daily basis. Maintains, safeguards and stores tools and equipment. Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.
