JOB TITLE:                                   MOTOR MECHANIC APPRENTICE

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:         Shop Foreman

JOB SUMMARY:                           

Perform a wide variety of duties specific to repair shop clean up and maintenance.  

Perform and follow company procedures for cleaning and storing all motor parts, 

dip & bake of electrical apparatus.

Clean and store motor parts.  Record location of parts in company QC database.   

Training to become motor mechanic.

WORK PERFORMED:                  

Clean and store motor parts.  Record location of parts in company QC database.

Dip & bake electrical apparatus and clean up as required by company procedures.

Clean, maintain and properly store the following shop equipment:

            Oven cart                        Dip tank chains

            Steam Cleaner               Separator (weekly)

            Electrical cords

Checks fluid levels in the following:

            Oil Water Separator - Monthly

            Varnish Tank - Monthly & record

            VPI Tank - Monthly & record

Shops floors to be swept weekly.

Wipe down shop equipment every two weeks.

Keep garbage cans emptied.

Keep all supply cabinets and shelves organized and clean.

Maintain clean organized break room area.                                                         

QUALIFICATIONS:            

Preferred level of education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.                                                         

Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.

Maintenance experience preferred.

Forklift experience desirable.
